Our Design and Build service offers a comprehensive 'Concept to Completion' solution, which can significantly reduce the delivery schedule by overlapping the design and build phases of your construction project. By appointing a dedicated construction specialist to deal with your project, we assure you of a single point of contact at all times. Better still, you can rest assured that the professionals have the whole project in hand, managing everything in terms of design, consultation, planning consent, budgeting, construction issues, building control, selection and management of subcontractors. This gives you the time to step back and consider the project at your leisure, ensuring you make us aware of your individual tastes and design requirements.

In conjunction with local architects, Eastern Build and Joinery offers a complete service throughout the entire Design and Build process.

There are 7 simple stages of our Concept to Completion Design and Build projects:

  1. A chance for you to give us your ideas for your new home, business premises or renovation and extension project. We will be able to give initial advice on feasibility and offer additional design ideas.
  2. At this stage, we prepare architect-scale drawings for approval as well as structural, energy efficiency and budgetary calculations.
  3. We submit the plans to the local authority for planning permission and building regulations approval, liaising directly with planning officers and building regulation control officers if further negotiation and information is required.
  4. Next we prepare a schedule from concept to completion, helping us to break the project down into specific stages and identify end dates for client specification on bespoke items such as kitchens and lighting design.
  5. Based on the agreed specification, we prepare and present a fixed price quotation. The prices we quote are always realistic – we do not pitch a price low to get a job and then charge unexpected fees as the project unfolds.  Providing your specification does not change, the initial fixed price quotation will stand throughout.
  6. Once this is agreed, our craftsmanship, professional project management and customer-focused approach comes into play. And finally...
  7. Our aim is for every customer to be so satisfied that they give us a glowing testimonial. We want to do more than make a great first impression - we want our clients to be impressed by our work for many years to come.
